Best Hidden Installation Award Extends EDG’s Winning Streak

Piscataway , NJ-September 16, 2004-

Electronics Design Group, Inc. (EDG), of Piscataway, NJ, won the 2004 Electronic Lifestyle Award in the Best Hidden Installation category for effectively hiding and blending audio and video equipment within the surrounding environment when not in use at the 2004 CEDIA EXPO in Indianapolis, Ind, held September 10-12. Electronic Lifestyle awards are voted on by conference attendees in a blind voting contest.

EDG’s award winning installation, located in NY, features the ability to manage motorized shades, projector lift, motorized screen and all the audio and video equipment in the room via wireless Crestron touchpanel control. No detail was left undone, including the recessed surround speaker channels faux painted into the marble columns. A causal tube television, for occasional viewing, was concealed behind pocket doors. The equipment rack is hidden behind a door in the front left side of the room.

“This was a great project with terrific clients and very precise coordination with the millwork designer and contractor Steve Endress of Wood Artisans, who did an awesome job!” exclaimed Bob Gullo, President of EDG. “The commitment our team has to EDG and our clients who select us as their solutions provider is truly outstanding. I am so proud of everyone for their relentless hard work.”

This award marks EDG’s 3rd “Best Hidden Installation” award and 9th “Designers’ Choice” awards for excellence in systems integration since 1996, more than any other organization in CEDIA. EDG has won awards in the following categories and years: 2003 Best Hidden Installation, 2003 Best Home Theater, 2003 Best Media Room, 2002 Best Home Theater, 2001 Best Media Room, 2001 Best Hidden Installation, 1997 Best Media Room, and 1996 Best Media Room. In other industry award categories EDG was awarded 2004 Dealer of the Year for outstanding achievements in the field of custom electronic integration.
