EDG to Host ASID Continuing Education Training Programs for 2006


Piscataway, NJ -Febraury 10, 2006-

Electronics Design Group, Inc., an industry partner of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), will be presenting their 1-hour seminar titled “Practical Applications for Residential Lighting Control” to ASID members and Interior Designers from all over New Jersey and the surrounding tri-state area. Their course was approved into the ASID’s professional development program last August.

All events are scheduled for the last Thursday of the month and are presented by EDG’s Systems Consultants & Design experts. The first training event begins on Thursday, February 23, 2006 and will be hosted by Robert Modica. The next two scheduled events follow on March 23 and April 27, presented by Joe McNeill and Alan Weissman, respectively.

Topics of discussion include:

  • analyzing practical applications and benefits for lighting control systems in residential spaces
  • evaluating various scenarios and defining areas in a project where lighting control can improve aesthetics, enhance functionality, and increase efficiency
  • controlling natural light with motorized shades
  • the use of preset lighting “Scenes” to set moods

ASID attendees will earn 0.1 CEU upon completion of the class. These three events will mark the starting point, as the firm plans to host these training events monthly throughout 2006.

Each training event offers two different 1-hour sessions – a morning session beginning at 9AM, and an evening session beginning at 6PM. EDG will be hosting these events in their 11, 000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located in Piscataway, New Jersey. Each session will be catered.
