Electronics Design Group Hosts Lecture Series for Architects, Designers A Three-Part series offers opportunities for CEU credits, and training on integrating technology into designs
PISCATAWAY, N.J.- August, 18th 2008-
Electronics Design Group (EDG) will continue its series of seminars for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) with a three part lecture series on incorporating the latest technology into the design of spaces. Designed for architects, builders, and interior designers, the seminars will include:
- “Intelligent Design for the Smart Home” on Wednesday, September 17. Participants will understand the meaning, components, capabilities, and benefits of “smart home” technology, as well as its relevance to the design process and architectural community.
- “Control Systems Integration for Residential Applications” on Wednesday, October 15. Participants will analyze practical applications and benefits of control system integration in a residential application including Audio, Video, HVAC, Lighting, Drapery/Shades, Security, Weather, and Entry Doors.
- “Multiple Choice – Designing Spaces for Multiple Viewing Screens” on Wednesday, November 19. From living rooms to media rooms and boardrooms to training facilities, designing spaces with multiple viewing screens is the hot new topic in custom electronics.
Bob Gullo, President of EDG, says, “These seminars are vital to professionals looking to stay ahead of the technological curve. Today, their clients will expect electronics to be woven seamlessly into their space; the programs we’re offering help them do that.”
EDG is a registered provider of Continuing Education Systems for the AIA and ASID. In the last year they’ve offered programs on lighting design and incorporating systems integration into the initial design process.
Each of the three events will begin at 6 pm with a light dinner served from 6:00 to 6:30. The seminars will run from 6:30 to 7:30, concluding with an optional tour of the EDG Experience Center, where installations featuring the latest in custom electronic integration are available for hands-on trial. The tour highlights are a Home Theater demo, Digital Media overview, including VUDU, multiple viewing screens within a single space, IP cameras, systems integration, as well as rack building and production areas. Interested participants are invited to stay for comprehensive one on one time with the EDG design team after the completion of the program.
