The Votes Are In – EDG Wins!
Electronic House Announces Electronics Design Group as Winners of the First Annual EH Awards
Piscataway, NJ -March 31, 2006-
In December of 2005, Electronic House (EH), the leading consumer audio/video lifestyle magazine, announced their brand new awards competition for ‘Best Electronic House of the Year,’ to celebrate and recognize custom dealers and installers achievements. Electronics Design Group of Piscataway, N.J., recognized as the premier electronics systems integration firm in the tri-state area, submitted their most prestigious projects and were recently announced winners for ‘Best EH Media Room‘ and ‘Best EH Home Theater, $51-$100K.’ Both prized projects, designed, engineered and implemented by EDG, will be featured in the May 2006 issue of Electronic House magazine.
Their project “Pump Up the Volume” earned the firm ‘Best EH Home Theater $51K-$100K – Gold Award.’ The concept behind the project was to create a home theater where music and video could be blasted as loud as possible, while putting an end to the homeowner’s habit of blowing out speakers. EDG’s design approach took this project to the next level by installing commercial grade loudspeakers and a stack of amplifiers, much to the client’s delight. Also included in this theater is a projector and viewing screen with DVD, DirecTV, PC and X-box sources, all controllable by a Crestron touchpanel.
“Now You See It, Now You Don’t” was the name of the project that won EDG the ‘Best EH Media Room – Silver Award‘. This project’s awe-factor is in it’s multi-functionality as a media room integrated into a home library with completely hidden electronics. EDG’s design and installation concealed the video projector and viewing screen in the soffit of the room, and had the in-ceiling speakers faux painted to make them blend in- virtually invisible to the naked eye. The uniqueness of this room is its ability to transform from a quaint and quiet library into a full fledged media room at the press of a button, also controlled by a Crestron touchpanel, fully ready to provide an all encompassing entertainment experience.
Winners were chosen from over 200 entries by an elite panel of judges, including EH magazine staff. The winning projects were selected foremost on the feature benefits that enhanced the lifestyle of the homeowner, following project description and photos. Gold, silver and bronze awards for were given for each category.
